The Queen Anne style was established by an English architect named, Richard Shaw, the inspiration of his architectural detailing came through the expression of the Industrial Revolution.
The column structures were deconstructed to express ornamental spindles with lacy delicate detailing in the capital piece of the original structure, which would wrap around the front of the home to make an endless impact from the street view. These elaborate detailing later coined the term “gingerbread houses,” describing the homes intrinsic detailing
